First time dined in their new and expanded location on the other side of the parking lot. Good to see while the menu options have expanded, the standard is still upheld. For a party of six, we had beef tartar, onion soup, chicken liver, and escargot as appetizers and duck, pork chop, salmon, and lobster risotto for main course. All were excellent. For a Friday night, the place was packed and we were only able to reserve a 5:15pm slot.

Wonderful dining experience! Both the duck and the pork chop special were terrific. Service was on point and the vibe of the restaurant was sophisticated but not at all stuffy.

I have visited this restaurant about 3 times now for a group dinner and brunch and it's always a good time. The drinks are delicious and the food is delicious as well. For dinner highly recommend the duck for once I actually mean duck not the other word For brunch the burger is great as well as everything else. Service is typically Curtis and timely. Always on my list for a gathering I plan.

We had an amazing dinner at Lorena's last night! The wild mushroom soup was so flavorful and delicious. Can't wait to have it again! The roasted chicken was cooked perfectly and was served with a savory mix of corn, bacon and carrots. I would absolutely order it again. The price of the suggested wine pairings was very reasonable. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you to the GM, Mario, and his staff for a spectacular night.

Lunch was great. The French Onion soup and Caesar Salad can't be beat. We also got a steak sandwich which we shared. Highly recommend everything we had. So yummy.

A French inspired restaurant with a bar upfront, seating wrap-around to the back around an open kitchen serving area in Maplewood NJ. Street/muni parking, so it may be a little hard to find a spot on the busy days. We had a big party and they had a long table that seated us around, a little tight around the back so servers had to constantly excuse themselves to reach around to refill and bring and take plates, which was a bit of interruption to conversation, and so they mostly stayed out of the way. Water refill was prompt, though getting another drink from a server took a bit, and they didn't provide my last requested drink ordered before dessert, we ended up finishing the dessert and leaving. I do like how the iced tea came in a glass that was also chilled, that was very refreshing. I tried the French Onion Soup - love the crisp crunch of the crouton even in the soup, and lots of onions, thick beef broth, but the soup itself was overly sweet. The bowl wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese enough - it was still separate from the bowl. The escargot looked great - will have to try that next time. My neighbor's salad looked really good, too. Tried the special pork chop - giant, thick cut and delicious, which was good it was thick as the balsamic maple glaze was far too sweet otherwise, a little went a long way. The mushroom/farro/kale was soaked underneath, tough to eat it all since too sweet overall. Could have been more balanced. The dessert - they were able to do a candle, but they brought out the wrong dessert to put it in after my request (I think it was a coffee panna cotta? instead of the chocolate cake). I had a great strawberry panna cotta, though, a little champagne flavor. Overall, tended to the sweet side, will have to try some of the other dishes next time. Definitely very positive points for a trend of what looks to be a lot of very good food to try, but have to find the dishes to balance each other out a bit. Service could've been better, but won't hold it against them much this time as perhaps it was just an off night - if it doesn't change the next time I go, I will update the review and stars.

Lorena's is a delightful spot, and I have no complaints about the decor, menu, or service. I dined in for lunch during a business meeting and we started with the SALMON TARTARE and the CREPE that was filled with mushrooms & crab meat. For my main course, I had the TROUT, perfectly paired with roasted brussels. I just wish we had room for dessert, but the meal was thoroughly enjoyable! ENJOY!

We came here on a Sunday for a late lunch. The outdoor space was pretty quiet but their service was still timely to us. The food was above average. Will try this place again

Went here last night to celebrate our anniversary. We sat at the bar first and had a drink. Their mixologists are top notch and make a great drink. They took over the space that was formerly The Cassidy and they didn't change much. Nice atmosphere with a great bar area. They did have somebody playing a keyboard and singing. For appetizers my wife had the garden salad and I had the French onion soup. Both very good. For mains my wife had the halibut and said it was excellent. I had the pork chop special with a balsamic glaze served on a bed of farro and wilted kale, also excellent. The house brought over a coffee panna cotta for desert because it was our anniversary and that also was delicious. Highly recommend this establishment.
